Millitary Black and Gray Sleve Session #1

by LaBello

A good start on a black & gray WWII military-themed sleeve. I put a silhouette of 'the Raising of the Flag at Iwo Jima' on the inner bicep. Have more cloud work to do on the upper arm, then a 1940's bomber pinup style girl on the forearm among other elements.

Let me clear my throat!

This is just an FYI. If you live in Wichita, don't waste your time emailing us about price quotes. Drive your ass down to the shop where we'd be more than happy to help you out with your tattoo needs. If you're from out of town, email is appropriate and necessary. We've been getting slammed with questions about price quotes... and we're not playing that game. If your only interest is the cheapest price, then seek help elsewhere. We know our place on the totem of local shops. We don't run specials or give discounts. You'll find the highest quality here at Hell Bomb... We'll leave the bargain tattooing to the amateurs and kitchen magicians. That said, come get tattooed!

-Thanks!

Nautical Star Overhaul

by LaBello
The previous artist made some classic beginner mistakes - used a thick needle to hide shaky lines, ended each point with a dot making it look like a 'sheriff's star' lol, also notice the scar right in the middle of the 'before' star where he went over and over the same spot - this is the most common amateur mistake on nautical star tattoos... The fix turned out really nice, though I may have to touch it up at some point because scar tissue doesn't like to hold ink sometimes.

Nails of the Cross

He brought in a photo of a the tattoo he wanted, but he let me draw up an original version of it.

Black and Gray Homage to the Family Names

by LaBello
This turned out really well. The grouping of the details, leaving breathing room for the words, made for a good design layout. And the details on the pages and the wood grain cross are pretty badass!

Feminine Chest Piece

by LaBello
Using color to line everything instead of black gives a nice feminine effect. This is going to look awesome when it heals.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Their Valentine's Day gifts to each other. ♥

Flower Foot

by LaBello
Here's another example of creating a more feminine effect by not outlining the tattoo in black. There are some pretty blue and magenta tones that will rise through the orange petals as it heals. Gorgeous.

Stars? What stars? Freehand flower and hummingbird.

Walking up the ribs

Hoo-rrah!!

He wanted a unique twist on the same ol' Marine Corps tattoo and he wanted only black work... so that's what I did, and it turned out super sexy.

In-Progress Chest Piece

Virgin Mary Angel - Session #1: Used a pretty light approach to the lining - going to shade the whole thing like cracked stone in Session #2 to give it a Gothic grave stone effect.

Bye Bye Jerry!

by LaBello
This one was difficult - the shop that did the original 'Jerry' really dug it into her.
